FAQs
I’ve compiled a list of the most frequent questions that I have received over my career. It’s normal and encouraged for clients to ask many questions when choosing to work with a Psychologist. Here are some answers to the questions I receive the most. If you can’t find what you are looking for, please get in touch.
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
The rate we charge is well below those recommended by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is competitive compared with other psychology practices. You may also be eligible for a rebate through a Mental Health Care Plan or via your private health insurance. This will further reduce the out of pocket expense. However, should the fee be limiting to you seeking psychological services don't hesitate to contact our team.
How long does each therapy session take?
Therapy sessions are between 50 and 60 minutes. If you would like a shorter session or additional time then this can be negotiated.
What kind of diagnoses do you work with?
As a clinical psychologist I can work with many varied and complex presentations. If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related challenges, mood regulation challenges, personality disorders, life stress, challenges making decisions and/or alcohol and other drug issues please don't hesitate to reach out and see if I might be a good fit for you.
